Do You Suffer From Sensitive Skin? Here's What You Do.
Got sensitive skin? There's some simple steps you can take to sensitive skin care.
If you have sensitive skin there's some simple things you can do for it that may mean you really don't need to have sensitive skin.
If you have the symptoms associated with sensitive skin like rashes, blotchiness, redness, swelling, dryness and itchiness and more, then there is some things you can do.
Of course it may always be worthwhile seeing a dermatologist, but before you consult an expert you can try out some, or all of these remedies. Let science wait till you've tried some basic stuff to see if your skin conditions improve.
The first thing sufferers of sensitive skin need to do is to have a look at your current cosmetics and skin care products. Because there are a whole lot of skin care products and anti aging products and cosmetics that can actually cause the problem of sensitive skin. All those face masks and blushes and creams and so on can actually be the problem.
On my website I write about the dangerous ingredients that are found in many big brand skin care products and cosmetics.
Ingredients like parabens, which are used extensively in big brand skin care products as a preservative, can be dangerous. For example the cosmetics database lists 2 parabens (parabens refers to a group of chemicals, not one) as, on a scale of 1 - 10 of hazard, as being at least a 7 or an 8. Ie, in their words, high hazard.
And there's no reason why the presence of parabens would not of itself cause sensitive skin problems. It may or may not, but it's worth asking the question.
Many big brand cosmetics and skin care products include similar or the same ingredients, and you may well find that if you change your cosmetic brand to a natural non allergenic cosmetic brand many, or all, of your sensitive skin problems go away.
I have personal experience of this. A while ago my 8 year old daughter did her first ballet concert. They applied cosmetics to her face for the performance.
Within a few hours her entire face had broken out in a rash, and we decided right there not to use those cosmetics again.
So have a good look at your cosmetics and skin care products and if they're big brand name products from your local store then the chances are that they have some nasty ingredients in them and that itself could be causing sensitive skin care problems.
Use low allergenic laundry detergents too. There are many detergents that also contain ingredients that may cause skin reactions in people with all sorts of skin types. In particular wash sheets and pillow cases with low or non allergenic detergents. Rinse well and avoid any detergents, as well as skin care products and cosmetics, with fragrances.
Fragrances are also chemicals and can cause skin reactions for all skin types, including those with oily skin and healthy skin.
And if you do have problems with skin allergies, make sure you visit an allergy specialist, a good one can also point you to other products that can be causing problems.
You need to source a range of non allergenic range of both natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products.
Luckily it also turns out that the companies that make the best natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products also make the best products. They are small niche companies making excellent products, and at very competitive prices too.
They're priced competitively because they don't spend huge amounts on TV advertising and so keep their costs right down. They rely on their products to sell themselves once people have tried them.
Most of the big brand name skin care products including sensitive skin care products do very little and are made down to a price rather than up to a standard.
So there's a good range of sensitive skin care tips. If you try these and don't find it works for you then consult a professional, but if you try these tips then your sensitive skin problems may well be gone.
